MY THOUGHTS ON THE COURSE

            

 My thoughts on the course

    Throughout the semester, thanks to the “Current Issues in Teaching” course, I have learned a lot about how technology can be integrated into English lessons. Throughout this semester, we have done many assignments using this information. We finished the semester with our last assignment “Creating AI integrated Lesson Plan”.

    During the semester, it was really useful for the course to use slides in the lectures and to explain the lectures to the students with the help of video material or technologies on the subject from time to time. Our teacher's lectures were very descriptive and understandable. It was important that the lectures were explanatory because this way we did not encounter any unfamiliar topics while doing the assigned projects. Our assignments were easy for us, we completed all our projects quickly and carefully by working together with my friends and dividing tasks. My favorite assignment was “Creating a grammar teaching video for a flipped EFL classroom”. Although it took a long time to create the video, it was a lot of fun. On the other hand, “Creating Corpus Based Teaching Material and a Lesson Plan” was the most difficult assignment and it took a long time to prepare because it required a lot of care to prepare the worksheets, so it was my least favorite assignment. 

    For the students who will take the same course next year, I can say that this course is a fun course, although the process of preparing the homework is fun, I recommend them to be attentive in this process. I also wish you success in advance. This course has helped me a lot in integrating technology into English language teaching. I learned how to prepare lesson materials with the help of technology and integrate it into the lesson plan. I will use these technologies in my own classroom in the future.
